Freedom

Freedom is a mythical concept.

Absolute freedom does not exist.

No one is completely free,

We are bound by our physical form,

governed by natural laws,

shaped by the society we live in,

and confined within the limits of time and culture.

Even the one who claims to be free

is ultimately tied to their own definition of freedom.

In this absolute sense, freedom is an illusion.

But that does not mean freedom doesn't exist at all.

We may not have complete freedom,

but we do have the right to relative freedom ,

to speak, to think, to question, to live with dignity.

This is our natural right, our birthright.

In a democracy, in a just society,

this freedom must be protected and expanded.

True freedom may never be total,

but even partial freedom is worth fighting for ,

for without it, life becomes mere survival.
