Two Year B.Ed. Programme
(Semester Wise)
Introduction:
The need for the establishment of Faculty of Education, Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith was felt to generate awareness regarding various aspects of New Education Policy amongst the youngsters of purvanchal interested in teacher-training programmes. The classes for B.Ed. practically started in 1983 and after many years of painstaking efforts it could establish itself as a separate 'Education Faculty' with the approval from the U.P. Government in 1986-87. Since then the faculty has been providing courses leading to degrees at B.Ed., M.Ed. and Research levels and offering opportunities to the youngsters to pursue a career in education. Emphasis is being laid on the pursuit of a vision of competent teacher grounded in values and who are able to adopt teaching as a profession directed at self empowerment and thus play an important role in the development of the nation by aligning with the progressive venture and face of the country's mission.
Curriculum:
The B.Ed. programme of Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith, Varanasi is a two year course consisting of Theory Courses, Practicum and School Internship. Theory courses comprise perspective courses and courses in curriculum and pedagogy studies. In the practicum the focus is on engagement with the field. In the school internship the focus is on sustained engagement with learners and the school including engagement in continuous and comprehensive evaluation, school based innovative practices and community based interaction. The course aims at development of needed competencies and skills for an effective teacher in the 21th century class room processes and school context.
There will be theory courses of 1200 marks (48 Credits) and Practicum comprising of EPC (Enhancing Professional Competencies) and Internship I & II of 400 marks (16 Credits) spread over a period of two years in four semesters. The year wise and semester wise distribution of theory, practicum & internship programme with the weightage in terms of marks (credits) are indicated in the following plan.

A. The B.Ed. trainee will be attached to primary / upper primary level schools for (Four Weeks), to secondary level schools for (Ten Weeks) and to senior secondary schools for (Two Weeks). The purpose of the internship programme is to integrate theoretical knowledge of courses in perspectives and pedagogy with engagement in various sites such as the school, the classroom, the community and the learner and thereby ensuring a holistic development of teaching competencies and skills needed for an effective teacher professional of 21st century global world.
B. The activities undertaken during this programme of school attachment will comprise of:

महात्मा गांधी का शिक्षा दर्शन (Educational Philosophy Of Mahatma Gandhi) महात्मा गांधी का जीवन परिचय — महात्मा गांधी का जन्म 2 अक्टूबर, 1869 को पोरबन्दर (गुजरात) में हुआ था। महात्मा गांधी बचपन का नाम मोहनदास था। महात्मा गांधी के पिता श्री कर्मचन्द गांधी पोरबन्दर रियासत के दीवान थे और महात्मा गांधी की माता श्रीमती पुतलीबाई थी। महात्मा गांधी जी को पोरबन्दर के प्राथमिक स्कूल में प्रवेश दिलाया। जब गांधी जी की आयु सात वर्ष की थी तो वे अपने माता-पिता के साथ राजकोट हाईस्कूल में प्रविष्ट हो गए और यहीं से महात्मा गांधी 1887 ई0 में मैट्रिक की परीक्षा पास की।
प्रस्तावना - सीखना निरन्तर चलने वाली एक सार्वभौमिक व मानसिक प्रक्रिया है। जो जन्म से लेकर मृत्यु पर्यन्त तक व्यक्ति के साथ चलती है। सीखने को हम अधिगम के नाम से भी जानते है। सीखने की गति परिस्थितियों एवं आवश्यकतानुसार परिवर्तित होती रहती है। परन्तु इसकी स्थिति में कभी विरामावस्था एवं अस्थिरता नहीं आती है। मनुष्य को सीखने या अधिगम के लिए किसी विशेष परिस्थिति की आवश्यकता नहीं होती है। व्यक्ति कही भी, कभी भी, किसी भी समय किसी से भी, कुछ भी सीख सकता है। वह न केवल शिक्षा संस्थान में बल्कि परिवार, संस्कृति, मित्रमण्डली, पड़ोसियों, राह चलते, सिनेमा, अपरिचित व्यक्तियों, वस्तुओं, स्थानों इत्यादि सभी के परोक्ष - अपरोक्ष रूप से कुछ न कुछ अवश्य सीखता है। अधिगम का मानव जीवन में महत्वपूर्ण स्थान है। क्योंकि व्यक्ति का अधिकाशयता व्यवहार सीखने से अथवा सीखने की प्रक्रिया से प्रभावित रहता है। सीखना जीवन की सफलता का आधार है।
इस लेख में निम्न बिंदुओं को स्पष्ट किया गया है - थार्नडाइक का प्रयत्न एवं भूल का सिद्धांत पावलव का शास्त्रीय अनुबंध का सिद्धांत स्किनर का क्रिया प्रसूत अनुबंध सिद्धांत थार्नडाइक, पावलोव और स्किनर के सीखने के सिद्धांतों पर चर्चा करें। मुख्य अंतर को इंगित करें। प्रस्तावना - सीखना या अधिगम एक बहुत ही व्यापक एवं महत्वपूर्ण शब्द है। मानव के प्रत्येक क्षेत्र में सीखना जन्म से लेकर मृत्यु पर्यन्त तक पाया जाता है। दैनिक जीवन में सीखने के अनेक उदाहरण दिए जा सकते हैं। सीखना मनुष्य की एक जन्मजात प्रकृति है। प्रतिदिन प्रत्येक व्यक्ति अपने जीवन में नये अनुभवों को एकत्र करता रहता है, ये नवीन अनुभव, व्यक्ति के व्यवहार में वृद्धि तथा संशोधन हैं। इसलिए यह अनुभव तथा इनका उपयोग ही सिखना या अधिगम करना कहलाता है। दूसरे शब्दों में कहा जाए तो अधिगम या सीखना एक बहुत ही सामान्य और आम प्रचलित प्रक्रिया है। जन्म के तुरन्त बाद से ही व्यक्ति सीखना प्रारम्भ कर देता है और फिर जीवनपर्यन्त कुछ ना कुछ सीखता ही रहता है। सामान्य अर्थ में ‘सीखना ' व्यवहार में परिवर्तन को कहा जाता है। (Learning refers to change in beha
इस लेख में हम निम्न बिंदुओं पर चर्चा करेंगे — बुद्धि की अवधारणा (Concept Of Intelligence) बुद्धि की परिभाषा (Definition Of Intelligence) बुद्धि के सिद्धांत (Principal Of Intelligence) बुद्धि के प्रकार (Type Of Intelligence) बुद्धि की प्रकृति (Nature Of Intelligence) बुद्धि को निर्धारित करने वाले कारक (Factors Determining Intelligence) प्रस्तावना - बुद्धि के कारण ही, मानव अन्य सभी प्राणियों से सर्वश्रेष्ठ है। बुद्धि चाहे मनुष्य की जैसी भी योग्यता हो लेकिन ये मानव की खुद के लिए व अंतोगत्वा राष्ट्र की प्रगति के लिए एक अहम निर्धारक तत्व हैं। अत: इस योग्यता को जानने, जाँचने व परखने के लिए मनुष्य सभ्यता के शुरूआती दौर से ही प्रयासरत व जिज्ञासु रहा है।
परिचय - अल्बर्ट बन्डुरा का जन्म 4 दिसंबर 1925 में हुआ। बन्डुरा एक प्रभावशाली सामाजिक संज्ञानात्मक मनोवैज्ञानिक था। बन्डुरा द्वारा सामाजिक अधिगम सिद्धांत का प्रतिपादन किया गया। इस सिद्धांत में स्वनिर्देशित अधिगम के प्रत्यय को प्रमुख स्थान प्रदान किया गया है। एक बालक / किशोर के रूप में बॅण्डुरा को अपने पिता के रूप में एक ऐसे प्रेरक का सानिध्य प्राप्त हुआ था जो विद्यालयी शिक्षा से वंचित रहने पर भी तीन भाषाओं को अपने स्वयं के प्रयास से पढ़ाना सीखने में सफल हुए थे।

गेने ने अधिगम को इस रूप में परिभाषित किया है, “अधिगम मानव - संस्कार एवं क्षमता में परिवर्तन है जो कुछ समय तक धारण किया जाता है तथा जो केवल वृद्धि की प्रक्रियाओं के ऊपर ही आरोप्य नहीं है।” गेने की इस परिभाषा में चार बिंदु स्पष्ट होते हैं जो निम्न है– सीखना व्यवहार में परिवर्तन है। व्यवहार परिवर्तन संभाव्य हो सकते हैं। व्यवहार व क्षमता में होने वाले परिवर्तन दीर्घकालिक नहीं होते हैं। अधिगम शब्द का प्रयोग क्षमताओं में होने वाले उन परिवर्तनों के लिए नहीं होता जो परिपक्वता के कारण होते हैं।
मैस्लो का आवश्यकता पदानुक्रम सिद्धांत (Need Hierarchy Theory Of Maslow) मैसलों के आवश्यकता पदानुक्रम सिद्धान्त का प्रतिपादन 1954 में खुद मैस्लो के द्वारा किया गया। वे सर्वप्रथम ऐसे मनोवैज्ञानिक थे जिन्होंने स्वः यथार्थो या आत्मसिद्धि (Self Actualization) के महत्व को स्वीकार किया तथा वैज्ञानिक अध्ययन किया। इन प्रत्यय पर एवं इसे मुख्य अभिप्रेरक मान कर एक सिद्धांत का प्रतिपादन किया जिसे आवश्यकता पदानुक्रम सिद्धांत कहा जाता है। मैस्लो एक मानवतावादी प्रोफेसर थे।
SECONDARY EDUCATION COMMISSION OR MUDALIAR COMMISSION- (1952-1953) : प्रस्तावना - स्वतन्त्रता-प्राप्ति के उपरान्त विभिन्न स्तरों प्राथमिक, माध्यमिक एवं विश्वविद्यालय-की शिक्षा में तीव्र गति से परिवर्तन हुआ। उच्च शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में 'केन्द्रीय शिक्षा कमीशन ' (Central Education Commission) ने सुधार के लिए महत्वपूर्ण सुझाव एवं सिफारिशें प्रस्तुत की थी। किन्तु देश के शिक्षा-विशेषज्ञों ने इस बात का अनुभव किया कि जब तक माध्यमिक शिक्षा में सुधार नहीं किये जायेंगे तब तक विश्वविद्यालय शिक्षा में सुधार सम्भव नहीं है। इस स्थिति को सामने रखते हुये सन् 1948 में केन्द्रीय सलाहाकार बोर्ड' (Central Advisory Board of Education) ने माध्यमिक शिक्षा की जाँच करने के लिए आयोग की नियुक्त करने के लिए प्रस्ताव प्रस्तुत किया। सन् 1951 में बोर्ड ने पुनः उक्त प्रस्ताव को बलपूर्वक दोहराते हुए कहा कि माध्यमिक शिक्षा "एकमार्गीय" (Unilateral) हो चुकी है। अतः उसे पुनर्गठन (Reconstruction) की अत्यधिक आवश्यकता है। बोर्ड के इस सुझाव को स्वीकार करते हुए भारत सरकार ने 23 दिसम्बर सन् 1952 में माध्यमि
